The last few months we've been exploring a variety of ways to increase the efficiency of creating our REI Custom Program CDs - we were beginning to reach our maximum capacity with our existing system. After much research, we decided on a robotic CD production system to speed up the process of burning and printing the custom CDs.

Last month we tried a machine by Microboards but ran into problems with it. I could write pages about the issues that we ran into trying to get the thing to work. I'll just say that after three weeks of beating our heads against the wall, we found out that the manufacturer shipped a product that they hadn't tested properly after changing a key hardware component. So, last week we sent it back and ordered one from a different manufacturer.

Today we took delivery on a new robotic machine, the Primera Bravo XRP (photo above), in the hopes that this machine works as advertised.I have high hopes.

I'll be posting in the next few days and weeks on how this machine ends up working for us.
